The Cameroon Film Industry Board of Directors is a structure formed by the general assembly of the CFI.
The Board of Directors (BOD) of the CFI is made up of 16 members, voted in by the six different guilds. The composition of guild representatives on the BOD is as follows: Producers 3, actors 3, directors 3, technicians 2, Writers 2, Marketers 1, diaspora 2; making a total of 16. During elections, the different guilds send in their required number of delegates, then the 16 delegates go into a conclave wherein they vote the different executives of the BOD. It is only after the conclave that the CFI community is apprised of the position each delegate will be occupying for the next mandate of 3 years.
The CFI BOD serves as the mouthpiece of all the different guilds when it comes to relations with the public authorities, the business world, the different diplomatic missions in Cameroon, and other sister film industries around the world. Major activities of the BOD include lobbying for sponsors and partners for all the stakeholders of the federation, designing and implementing a roadmap for the federation, protecting the interests of members through syndicate actions and settling disputes among industry stakeholders.
