The Producers’ Guild of Cameroon – PGC is a labour and social organization with the aim of putting the interest of Producers in the motion pictures industry in front of all other things. The guild acts as an autonomous organ of the Cameroon Film Industry and relates with other legalized guilds in the industry through Memorandums Of Understanding (MOUs) signed which are in conformity with the rules and regulations governing the guilds as well as in accordance with the laws in forced in Cameroon. Our motto is: “Setting the Pace”.
Our principal objectives shall be:
- representing all actors who represent the aspects of Production in the film and entertainment Industry.
- to promote their professional interests and improve their production value and quality;
- to cooperate with other groups (guilds) with similar interest and or objective with the PGC;
- to promote networking among such persons to enhance the sharing of professional and educational information;
- to promote the institution of the Guild as a collective bargaining organization for its membership (or a portion thereof);
- to protect and preserve the rights and property of such persons and the Guild both at law and under the provisions of the Articles of Incorporation, MOU with other parties.
- to promote the welfare and interests of the association and its members,
- to secure equitable compensation and fair working conditions for its members.
- to organize, facilitate and encourage members to attend workshops, Seminars, festivals, premieres, and program courses of benefit to members.
- to defend the Motion Picture Industry at all times.
